Thanks to the work and dedication of Damnok Toek’s teams, marginalised and vulnerable children have continued to receive assistance during the coronavirus crisis:
– Centre based projects have been running normally with e-learning classes for the children registered in public schools;
– Non formal education programs have been closed but students have been provided with food supplies for them and their families, and the teachers have organised homework to make sure children do not drop out of the program;
– Outreach programs have continued their awareness campaigns and have also provided communities with information on the prevention of Covid-19.
One of the consequences of the coronavirus crisis is an increase of the number of children in the streets of Poipet. As always, Damnok Toek is working to adapt its programs to this new situation in order to continue to assist the children and their families the best possible way.
