GEcsn has signed a contract with Rabbit school, an institution that is specialized in caring for mentally and physically handicapped children.
The Rabbit School was founded in 1997 in response to a need to provide educational and therapeutic activities for disabled children living at the Nutrition Center (a government operated orphanage located in central Phnom Penh). Children with disabilities have an equal right to participation and opportunity in all facets of life, including education. To better answer those needs and provide specialized services, the Rabbit school decided to open an inclusive classroom (children with and without disabilities learn together in an ordinary classroom with appropriate support). This is a helpful first step in creating equal opportunity for all members of society. Currently, twenty children attend the inclusive classroom.
